Edward Leonard has established an outstanding reputation for his versatility and interpretation of an extensive repertoire. As founder and Music Director of The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh, he has led the organization to substantial artistic growth since its creation in 2014. His comfort in diverse repertoire results in a conducting prowess and artistic command that spans the centuries.
Joshua Lee performed his first public recital at the age of 14. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Burlington Symphony and the London Community Orchestra. In addition to being the youngest winner of the 2018 and 2019 Rose Bowl Competitions in London, Ontario, he earned the senior category title in the Burlington Symphony Young Artists Concerto Competition. In 2023, Joshua received a full scholarship to the Orford Music Festival. He was also interviewed by Jim Cunningham at WQED FM, where he performed on the station. Recently, he won 1st prize in the Keynotes Music Scholarship and Pittsburgh Concert Society competitions. Currently, he studies under Professor van der Sloot at Carnegie Mellon University
Charles "Chase" Hahl, age 16, is a junior at Fox Chapel Area High School, a rower for his high school’s crew team, and the second of six children. Taught by his mother to play the piano from a young age, he decided to switch to the cello when he was eight years old, which proved to be a great match. Since then, he has studied with Alice Paviglianiti and Katya Janpoladyan, his teacher for the past four years. Chase plays in the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra and his school orchestra, and he has played in several PMEA orchestras.
